Kicked from GDKP for not purchasing enough
Gdkp was kicked out because they did not purchase adequate... The title, however, is not an explanation. Are all gdkps this way? Have I done something wrong? Are there ways I can improve my performance?
Recently resubbed to prepare to prepare for WotLK Classic. I did not get the results I wanted to accomplish in tBC because life has hit. I decided to start making gold at a low cost as I don't have any an item or profession that is maxed that I can use, so I've been working on Slave Pens boosts on my mage. I have saved around 4k gold and decided to consider investing some of it in upgrades to improve Slave Pens even easier (hitting 22 minutes at 100 pull using Mara dagger). My equipment is mostly auction house greens and blues.
I saw a post on the servers regarding an Black Temple gdkp with the prerequisites that you have 120 Shadow Resistance set and you had to upgrade your gold 3k in case you were a buyer on your own. The article stated that everything would start at 300 , and then tier up to 500. Since there is no need to tune in to BT and BT, I decided that it would be fun to try. I send a message to the leader and he examines me. I tell him that I don't have any equipment but I'm aware of the battles. I show the leader my gold 3k, and the leader says everything is fine.
The raid begins and several pieces are dropped. I offer them up to 2k gold. This is my price per item. Bracers, belts and some belts as well as an offhand. I won an offhand at 1.6k. A few healer pieces are dropped, but overall, they had better statistics than my gear, and therefore I decided to bid on them, too. However, as soon as an healer was interested and I decided to pull out after a single bid since I didn't want take a chance on loot that was not intended to me.
This happened to two separate items during the raid.
After the raid is over the auction begins to sell the rest of the pieces. I offered 2k for leg tiers and lost because they were sold to someone else at 3000. Then I placed a bid for the next shoulder tier and another bidder raises the price to 990. I thought I'd take a break from the bid game and just go right to 1.5k. I win and am about to take the shoulders. The organizer of the gdkp, as well as warrior tank decides to offer 2.5k even though he is unable to utilize the items. Then he starts ranting about how I wasn't willing to purchase items during for the entire raid. Then I'm kicked out of the group. I didn't think I'd be given a share since I was an honest buyer. The person who organized the event says there is no need for the shoulders and simply gives the shoulders to another person at no cost. He then continues to complain about myself to everyone in the group about how I was a victim of a scam and didn't spend 10k worth of goods.
The auctions continued after I was ejected. I'm not sure the reason why I was kicked. I placed bids on items. I was the winner of an item. I flashed the gold wow tbc required. I did not cause any wipes. I was planning to purchase the level that nobody wanted. I dropped repair bots.
It was true that I had very little damage, but they knew that prior to the start of the raid.
It turned me off from future Gdkps. The idea of rigging prices for pieces that which you aren't able to equip shouts the word "greed" and "toxicity". Maybe I'm missing something. Like I mentioned, I'm novice to the gdkps system. Should I auto-max the price of everything I want to purchase? The idea of increasing the price by 100 gold was a way to annoy the planner off. Of course , I'm trying my best to make the most of my gold, but why should I spend 5k on an item that nobody is interested in when I can get this for 1.5k? Do I really want to be selfish? I'm not able to afford it as it is.
Tldr: flashed the required gold and resulted in 0 wipes. purchased one item, bidded on 10+ pieces , but was unable to complete due to budget, organizer set the price in order to force me to bid higher, and was kicked for not having enough.
