NBA 2K23: Views on these two things

Dec-03-2022 PST Category: NBA 2K23

The first is the center, and I'm trying to be the center. Defend the paint, rebound, and block shots. It seems like 80% of the C's I face are shooters. I know that's how it behaves these days, but it's annoying. I've had paint beasts, rim protectors, and defensive anchors who cool off in corners and consume 3s until I start guarding them there and leaving the paint open. And I'm slow and have a small perimeter D, so I can't help without giving them an open shot. It takes NBA 2K23 MT to change all that.

As a center in NBA 2K23, I do agree that defending the perimeter sucks, it's even worse when you're pushed to the 4 by a 6-foot-9 dribble god, but usually it just means you're dominant on the other end Or grab a rebound.

The second is the NBA 2K23 skill rating scale. Casual, barrel, ballerina, goat stuff. I hate how much it depends on winning or losing. This statistic doesn't tell you how good a player is. I mostly play with friends, but we play to have fun and hang out. Obviously, we try to win, but that doesn't happen very often. Like 50/50 or worse. Or worse random records.

Having said that, I feel like I'm very good at this game, and I've been playing a really good game, sometimes the best player on the field. So I don't understand why when I shoot 70% and A- in 21-7-5 games (SF) and only A- in 22-16-7 (C) because we lose, The level of technology will decline. I've never had access to pro players, but I've always outplayed those guys.

Some players suggest that the skill level table is 100% completely worthless and ignore it. It has zero correlation to actual player skill, considering all you have to do to avoid it dropping is the dashboard, and the game shuts down if you know you're going to lose. Even if it didn't have that problem, it wouldn't be able to judge "skill" in various ways because, as you pointed out, it's based on 100% win or lose. A-level triple-double lost 1, sorry for your ranking drop.
